Final Study Program

Towards the end of the semester before you started the M12 semester, you have delivered your Preliminary Study Program. During the second semester you have acquired more insight in the choices that you have made and in your development. You have received feedback from your assessments, you took some electives, perhaps you participated in your Track Course, you have been working on your Design Research Project; it is time to reflect on the final stage of your Master program.

Did you choose the right Track, do the intended electives meet your needs, how would you like to prepare for your Final Master Project (FMP) and your career in your M21 semester, what kind of FMP do you envision? All these questions are important to discuss with you mentor. Sometimes this may lead to new insights and choices for your Study Program.

After this discussion, you will be able and need to decide upon your Final Study Program, including Track choice, Expertise Areas for specialization, intended electivesOptions M21 and (if applicable) updated preferred Graduation Mentor.

Final Study Program Form

All choices mentioned above will need to be documented in the Final Study Program Form. This form is available in the Forms and files page.

The form needs to be signed and delivered to CSA-ID before the deadline; the deadline before the end of the semester before you start your M21 semester, e.g., start with one of the Options M21. For the deadline, check the Year Planning on the Forms and files page.

Only forms signed by you and your preferred mentor (if applicable) will be accepted. Mentors can only sign the form after discussing with you your final choices and the coherence of your study program.

The Final Study Program is a formal tool for documenting your exam program. You will formalize your choices by delivering your filled out and signed Final Study Program Form. After you deliver this document, your exam program is final. It is not possible to modify the plan, with the exception of course changes, when the selected courses are no longer available. In case of other circumstances, the Program Director may decide upon the action(s) to be taken.
