New Acces Gates at the Library

In the first week of March, the access gates to the library will be installed on the entrance bridge of the library. Even though they may look different, there isn’t much that is going to change.

The installation date is the 4th and 5th of March. The library will still be open and accessible through the bridge. However, there may be some hindrance from the new cables that need to be installed by the electrician. Please note that this inconvenience will only last for a couple of days.

Throughout the year, our library is open to the public for reading and borrowing books whenever they like. To maintain the dynamic atmosphere that we love on our campus, this will remain the same even after the installation of the access gates. Everyone will continue to have unlimited access to our library outside of exam weeks.

During exam weeks, the gates will be closed, and you can only enter the library by scanning your TU/e Campus card at the access gates. Make sure to activate your card, do the check at https://selfservice-tue.cardyourself.com. The gates are wheelchair accessible, and in case of an emergency, they will automatically open.

The first exam weeks after the installation will be from the 1st to the 20th of April. During this time, you will need your campus card for access. So, don’t forget to bring your card.
