Binding Study Recommendation

  • A Binding Study Recommendation (BSR) applies to all students commencing the first-year phase of the Bachelor’s program on September 1 for the first time. The binding recommendation on the continuation of studies also applies to students recommencing the first-year phase after terminating their enrollment before March 1 in a previous academic year.
  • There are three types of recommendation: a positive recommendation, a postponed recommendation and a negative recommendation. The Examinations Committee for your Bachelor’s program makes the recommendation at the end of your first year.
  • Note: Combined Bachelor students will receive two BSR’s. The Examination Committee of each program will decide independently whether a student has met the requirements of their specific program. This means that it is possible for a student to receive a positive BSR for one program and a negative BSR for the other, depending on the courses completed at the end of Year 1. In general BAM-BCS students need a total of at least 45 credits, of which they need to have passed at least three major courses of each program. Each Examination Committee can inform students of the formal regulation.
