The project coach is the supervisor of the project. A project coach:
- Helps you to formulate your learning goals for the project,
- Supervises your project, and
- Monitors your competency development during the project.
The project coach will support you in understanding the different design and research processes common in the Department. Furthermore, the project coach will support you in developing your professional skills. Consider that every project coach has a different preference for design and research approaches. You have to learn which design and research processes fit you and your project best. In some projects, different coaches can team up and supervise students together.
The project coach can also transfer some of the coaching to a master student or PhD candidate with appropriate expertise. However, the responsibility of the project coaching will always remain with the project coach, who assesses the quality of the work in collaboration with the independent examiner.
During the first project in the master program, the project coach is also your mentor. The squad, you are allocated to, will determine who will be your project coach during this semester. You can check to what squad you are allocated to, via Osiris registrations. The squad leader will inform you about who will be your project coach and when the project will start.
