Assessment

FMP Proposal - Assessment

The FMP Proposal will be concluded with a competence assessment.

Deliverables

  • Final Master Project Proposal and planning (maximum 3500 words)
  • Presentation/Oral Exam

You submit your work via Canvas. In case you fail to submit all your deliverables on Canvas (in time, before the assignment closes), you cannot be assessed and receive a NV (no show).

Examiners

You will be assessed by your graduation mentor an expert in the other area of expertise you have chosen. This panel will (in most cases*) be part of your graduation panel.

*In some situations, such as sabbatical, retirement, change of jobs or illness we may need to deviate from this procedure.

Assessment meeting

It is your own responsibility to approach both examiners (and/or the secretaries) for planning your presentation/oral exam.

Assessment criteria

The FMP Proposal will be assessed using the assessment criteria mentioned in the Rubrics booklet.

Outcomes

The quality of the proposal will be assessed as sufficient or not (yet) sufficient.

Verdicts

You will receive a verdict as a result for the FMP Proposal. The verdict as recorded in Osiris is binding.

  • Promotion (P): you are promoted and receive the assigned credits.
  • Conditional pass (P+C): you are not promoted unless conditions are sufficiently met within a maximum of three weeks.
  • Hold (H): you are not promoted and do not receive ECTS.
  • No Show (NV): you did not show up or did not hand in all deliverables on Canvas in time.

Retake

In case the proposal is not (yet) sufficient (Conditional pass verdict), you can retake within three weeks after the verdict is communicated to you. In this case you need to update your FMP proposal.

You will deliver your retake on Canvas in a separate assignment. The maximum deadline for the retake is three weeks after the original verdict is recorded in Osiris.

Hold*

In case of a Hold verdict for the proposal you can redo the FMP Proposal the subsequent quarter.
