You will be assessed by your graduation mentor an expert in the other area of expertise you have chosen. This panel will (in most cases*) be part of your graduation panel.
*In some situations, such as sabbatical, retirement, change of jobs or illness we may need to deviate from this procedure.
Assessment meeting
Presentation/Oral Exam
You will present an overview of your M21 project and competence development throughout the project and your FMP Proposal in approximately 20 minutes. The time spent on discussing the M21 project (including your competence development) and FMP proposal should be balanced, i.e., approximately 10 minutes each.
The assessment should evaluate the offered additional clarity and consistency in verbal communication to the written deliverables. The assessment will evaluate whether the students can provide additional clarification and consistency to the proposal writing.
It is your own responsibility to approach both examiners (and/or the secretaries) for planning your presentation/oral exam.

The Preparation FMP will be assessed using the assessment criteria mentioned in the Rubrics booklet.
The M21 project should be a completed learning experience and examiners should be able to assess the project as such (e.g. not only a user study, market analysis, or literature research).

The quality of the proposal will be assessed as sufficient or not (yet) sufficient.
The full credits of 20 ECTS will be granted after you have completed and passed both aspects of the Preparation FMP.
Verdicts
You will receive a verdict as a result for the Preparation FMP. The verdict as recorded in Osiris is binding.
- Promotion with excellence (P+E): you are promoted with excellence and receive the assigned credits.
- Promotion (P): you are promoted and receive the assigned credits.
- Conditional pass (P+C): you are not promoted unless conditions are sufficiently met within a maximum of three weeks.

Retakes
In case the proposal and or the project is/are not (yet) sufficient you can retake within three weeks after the verdict is communicated to you. In this case you need to update your report and/or proposal.
You will deliver your retake on Canvas in a separate assignment. The maximum deadline for the retake is three weeks after the original verdict is recorded in Osiris.
If you fail the retake of the proposal, you can have an additional retake on the proposal part. The deadline of this additional retake will be in the exam weeks of quarter 3 (in case the original assessment was in quarter 2) or during the interim period (in case the original assessment was in quarter 4).
