Transition Arrangements - BC2.0

If you started your bachelor’s program before September 1, 2023, you’ll continue your program according to the curriculum from academic year 2022-2023 and before (the year you started). If you are or will be delayed in your studies, a transitional arrangement may apply.

Please note that you will only be affected by the implementation of the new curriculum if you are or will be delayed. In academic year 2023-2024, we started the transfer to the new curriculum by the introduction of new first-year courses and consequently the phasing out of BC 1.0 first-year courses. In academic year 2024-2025 we introduce the new second-year courses and phase out the BC 1.0 second-year ones. This change affects the opportunity to redo phased-out courses: If you failed a mandatory first-year or second-year course you need to be enrolled in the resit exam, which will count for 100% of the grade. For more details about a specific course, see the information in the Osiris course catalogue.

You have two options when a specific course is not being taught anymore:
Option 1: Retake the exam of the phased-out BC 1.0 course

All courses that are phased out will offer two examinations  in the year after they are taught for the last time.
The exam might  take place in a different quarter than it was last year, please check OSIRIS Course Catalogue.

Option 2: Register for the replacement course from the new curriculum

You can join the accompanying course and follow the on-campus educational activities.

Please see the overview in the PER and below for the specific transition arrangements for BAM.

BAM-BAP and BAM-BCS double degree students are affected by changes in two curricula. Please check this page for information about transition arrangements for BCS courses, and check here for information about BAP.

The new PER offers students the opportunity to switch to the new bachelor curriculum. Please note that this option is (only) recommended for students who have suffered serious delay in their first year. If you consider this option, please discuss this with your academic advisor.
