The academic year, starting in September, is divided into two semesters of about 30 EC each. Each semester consists of two periods (1,2 and 3,4).
Content related knowledge is mainly provided through the course program in the first year. In four core courses the focus will be on renewable energy technology, application in the built environment, effect of distributed generation on the electrical energy supply and economical and societal aspects. These courses together provide an overview of the basics of renewable energy technology and its use. The knowledge gathered in these courses will be applied in a group project where students work on a real-life assignment about the implementation of renewable energy in a certain area (i.e. a neighborhood, hotel, island).
The first step is to select and apply for a specialization where students will be linked to a mentor that will give them program-related supervision. In consultation with your mentor, students select their specialization and free elective courses.
