Course level
Each academic year each course is evaluated. A distinction is made between courses that require general or intensive evaluation. Whether a course requires a general or intensive evaluation format, is decided by the QA officer based on several criteria i.e. pass rate, student satisfaction, new lecturer, educational/course innovation, etc.
During each evaluation, the responsible lecturer is asked to respond to the course survey results via the lecturer's response form. Insight is acquired on how lecturers experienced the course and student response and how lecturers can be better supported. When an intensive evaluation is necessary, lecturers are requested to draw an improvement plan, possibly supported by the QA and/or TS officer. Improvement plans including a course summary will be shared with the PC, PD, and if needed with the EC, such that feedback can be provided.
The reading guide is a summary of all course evaluations and is updated and shared with the EC, PC, and PD each quarter. For each course, an information sheet is created which contains information about the students’ feedback, the lecturer’s evaluation, and possible improvements. This document is shared via Osiris to inform all stakeholders (most importantly students) on evaluation outcomes.
Department level
Throughout the academic year, program-wide surveys are conducted among students and alumni. Each survey is analyzed and interpreted in a separate survey result report. Depending on the urgency, these reports are shared by the QA officer with corresponding relevant stakeholders (EC/PC/PD) to enable short-term measures.
Once per academic year, the management report, Annual Report Examination Committee, and Annual Report are written. These reports describe the most relevant evaluation results regarding education and examination compared to previous academic years and the corresponding points of improvement. The survey result reports of the corresponding academic year are used as input for writing these reports.
