Professional Skills
In addition to professional knowledge and engineering skills, you need skills to do your profession well. This includes communication, reflection, planning and organization. For that reason, each major includes basic professional skills, worth 5 ECTS. The skill lines are:
- presentation
- writing
- teamwork
- reflection
- planning and organization
- gathering and processing scientific information
The total number of hours per skill line is spread over the three years of your bachelor’s degree program, giving you several opportunities to practice and assess your skills. You will also be awarded the ECTS spread over three years. If a major course includes a professional skills learning objective, you will get a formal assessment. Sometimes, passing the skill assessment is required to pass the major course.
Based on the feedback you receive, you can write your reflection reports and decide whether to further develop a skill.
