Special Master's track Medical Imaging

The special master track Medical Imaging (MIx) is offered in collaboration with the Imaging Division of the University Medical Center Utrecht. Hence, students get the perfect opportunity to make use of the expertise and equipment provided by both the Center for Image Sciences in Utrecht and the department of Biomedical Engineering in Eindhoven. In your program you will combine courses on medical imaging, image acquisition physics and image-guided interventions (mainly taught in Utrecht) with courses on quantitative image analysis, artificial intelligence/deep learning and computer-aided diagnosis (mainly taught in Eindhoven).

The program starts with a compulsory core course of 5 ec: a team challenge for students from Utrecht and Eindhoven. This course, which runs over three periods of the academic year, will pose a challenging medical imaging problem. In your specialization space, you can chose your own electives from a selected list of imaging courses offered by Utrecht and Eindhoven. In addidtion, there is room for free electives. Also an externship and graduation project are part of the program.

The special master track Medical Imaging (MIx) can be followed in both the master Biomedical Engineering and the master Medical Engineering. For all other study related information is thus referred to these pages.
