Transitional arrangements

Transitional arrangements

The Bachelor College (BC) curriculum is being redesigned. All students starting their bachelor's program at TU/e after September 1, 2023, will follow the redesigned curriculum (BC 2.0). If you started your bachelor's program before September 1, 2023, you will continue in the current curriculum (BC 1.0). If you are, or will be, delayed in your studies, a transitional arrangement will usually apply. The complete transitional arrangement consists of the transitional arrangements, the explanatory notes, and the transitional arrangements for basic courses.

In general, for each course within the BC 1.0 curriculum of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry that has a final written exam, two additional resits are provided in the academic year after the course has been taught for the last time. Please note that some courses have been scheduled in a different quartile for the two additional resits than it was usually scheduled. For course specific information, including the information on when a course will be taught for the last time, can be found in the Osiris Course Catalogue

In the documents Phasing Out Year 1 Courses B.C. 1.0 and Phasing Out Year 2 and 3 Courses B.C. 2.0 you will find an overview of when and how each course will be offered and examined for the last time.
These documents can also be found underneath this page in the Download section.

For students that would like to continue in BC 1.0 at Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, an Equivalence table for BC 1.0 to BC 2.0 at CE&C is available, which gives an overview of how the content of the courses of BC 1.0 is transferred to the courses of BC 2.0. This equivalence table should be used as an instrument in case you want or need to replace parts of your BC 1.0 study program with parts of the BC 2.0 study program. In all cases, you need to submit a request to the examination committee CE&C for approval, in case you started in the bachelor program CE&C before academic year 2023/2024 (BC 1.0) and would like to replace courses from the BC 1.0 program with courses from the BC 2.0 program. Before submitting your request, consultation with you academic advisor is strongly recommended.

In case you have any questions regarding the redesigned curriculum or the transitional arrangement, you can contact your academic advisor, or the FAQ.
