Artificial Intelligence & Engineering Systems

Welcome

Welcome to the online Education Guide of the master program Artificial Intelligence & Engineering Systems (AI&ES) of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).

This online Education Guide contains information about the study program of the master AI&ES, regulations and various types of practical study information. The information applies to the academic year 2024-2025 and it is updated regularly throughout the year.

All students are added to the CANVAS page 5INFO Student information department of Electrical EngineeringThis is the communication channel for all students of the pre-master and master programs offered at the Department of Electrical Engineering. The page is composed of 2 Modules - Electrical Engineering programs and AI&ES programs. Via announcements you receive important information, messages and updates about your program. You will receive automatically all the announcement published on the page, and the relevant module.
To make sure you don't miss any announcements, it's important that you turn on the notifications for the announcements and that you make sure you subscribe to one or more of the sub channels to receive the information that is applicable to you.

Introduction

The Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO) accredited the master program AI&ES in 2021 as an unique program that responds to the industrial, societal, and academic needs to apply artificial intelligence to solve engineering problems in an integral way. Students follow an exciting, high-quality program based on TU/e’s strong educational and research programs. The close collaboration between TU/e and companies in the high-tech Brainport region also warrants a strong connection between education and industrial applications.

The master program AI&ES is embedded in the TU/e Graduate School, which unifies all graduate programs (MSc, EngD and PhD) at TU/e. The Graduate School encourages a broad development of students, educates engineers who can contribute to technological solutions to solve major challenges in today’s world. Moreover, it emphasizes the application of research in education and prepares students for a professional career in the engineering practice.

The master program AI&ES is offered as a joint co-operation between 7 TU/e departments, with Electrical Engineering being the leading department:

Electrical Engineering

 Applied Physics and Science Education

Mechanical Engineering

 Mathematics and Computer Science

Biomedical Engineering

Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences
